This Privacy Policy explains how Pawfectreats ("we", "us", "our"), owned and operated by Shen Pao, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use pawfectreats.com (the "Site"). We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Residents of Quebec may have additional rights under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector ("Law 25").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Order information: name, shipping address, billing address, email, and phone number provided at checkout.
• Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; we receive limited data such as the last four digits and card brand for order records.
• Wholesale membership information: for Paw Pro members, we retain subscription status and billing history via Stripe.
• Communications: if you email us, we retain those messages to respond and for our records.
• Site usage data: basic technical data such as browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited, collected via standard server logs.

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or social media pixels at this time.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Process and fulfill orders and subscriptions
• Communicate about your order, delivery, or account
• Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
• Prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms of Service
• Comply with legal obligations, including tax and consumer protection law

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that would produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to remember the contents of your shopping cart between visits. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site trackers. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

4. Third-Party Services

We share your information only with service providers that help us operate the Site:

• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and subscription billing. Governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
• Replit, Inc. — website hosting and infrastructure. Governed by Replit's privacy policy.
• Shipping carriers — Canada Post and/or other couriers we use to deliver your orders.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside of Canada, including in the United States. By using the Site, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in these jurisdictions, which may have different privacy laws than your own.

5. Data Retention

We retain order and account information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, honor warranties, comply with tax and legal record-keeping obligations (typically six years under Canadian tax law), and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including using HTTPS encryption on the Site and processing payments through PCI-compliant providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent to certain uses of your information (subject to legal and contractual obligations)
• File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
